Groups of 4 - Four against Three

Henning Pauly

No we are moving on to one of the coolest aspects of sequences. We are cramming four notes into a rhyhtm of three, which means we have a note overlapping and therefore the groups are shifting through our triplet rhyhtm. This masks the fact that we are playing a simple sequence because the emphasis automatically changes and you don't even hear the repetitive sequence anymore and all of a sudden music starts to happen. The challenges ends with playing the groups of 4 up the whole fretboard on the D and G strings, showing you that there is another way to see the sequences and use them to move around.
